Armed with a pick-up truck and a dream, company president Scott de Villers started Pulse Stage Lighting out of his basement in 1990. An entrepreneur with high-level carpentry skills and a creative streak, he sought to put these qualities together to support the exciting concert and stage production scene of the 1990’s. His fascination with and expertise in lighting ultimately led to lighting design and production projects with such popular acts of the decade as Bums in the Park, Dog Voices, and The Nerds.

As word of the company’s expertise made its way around the circuit, Pulse Stage Lighting rose to become the lighting designer, equipment provider, and production support team of record for other prestigious concerts and events involving such celebrities as Charlie Daniels, The Goo Goo Dolls, and The Mighty Mighty Boss Tones, as well as high-profile broadcasts affiliated with VH1, ABC, WWE, and other top-tier networks. A nationally-recognized distributor for many of the industry’s most elite lighting manufacturers, including Leviton, Elation Professional, and Applied Electronics, Pulse Stage Lighting has overseen production of a broad range of corporate events for numerous Fortune 500 companies and international organizations, including Novartis, Bayer, Microsoft, and the American Heart Association. Pulse Stage Lighting recently became the preferred lighting vendor to New York City’s hottest new event space, SIR Stage 37, and has been a key vendor to the Live Nation franchise, Asbury Park's Stone Pony Summer Stage, supporting acclaimed artists, Joss Stone, Black Crowes, Sublime, Hot Tuna, Umphreys McGee and Snoop Dog.
